Senator Mike Lee of Utah has an excellent idea to stop Democrat Bob Casey from stealing Pennsylvania’s Senate race.
Despite losing to Republican David McCormick in an extremely tight race, and the race being called by multiple networks, Casey and his cronies are working behind the scenes to try and steal the seat in the way that Democrats specialize in.
As the race heads to an automatic recount, Casey and Democratic operative Marc Elias are trying to ensure that illegal ballots are counted in order to try and claim victory.
These efforts have been criticized by people across the political spectrum, particularly given Casey’s record of describing Donald Trump as a threat to democracy.
Among those denouncing these efforts is Senator Lee, who also happens to be an experienced jurist and constitutional expert.
According to Lee, the Senate could simply refuse to seat him.
“If Bob Casey doesn’t concede, Pennsylvania keeps counting illegal votes, [and] Casey relies on those votes to claim victory, the Senate could refuse to seat him,” he wrote on the X platform.
Lee went on to cite a constitutional clause that states: “Each House shall be the Judge of the Elections, Returns and Qualifications of its own Members.”

While such an effort would eventually get tangled up in the courts, it would still delay Casey’s return to the Senate and undermine his legitimacy as a rightfully elected lawmaker.
Yet, with the help of conservative and Republican lawyers, hopefully, things do not get to that stage.
While Republicans will control the Senate regardless of what happens in Pennsylvania, the seat remains of critical importance in order to advance Donald Trump’s legislative and judicial agenda.
Earlier this week, RNC Chairman Michael Whatley responded to the concerns by filing lawsuits to try and stop the counting of these illegal ballots as well as any other methods they may use to steal the race.
“Let’s be clear: [Dave McCormick] has won this race,” he wrote on the X platform. Bob Casey lost and Democrat officials and lawyers are trying to sow doubt in the democratic process. Our attorneys will not let it stand.”
