Elon Mush released some more “inside” Twitter files and emails to independent journalist, Matt Taibbi yesterday. What is fascinating with this batch of files is we have the first connection of a US Senator (Maine’s junior senator, Angus King) using Twitter AND Facebook to silence campaign opponents and supporters.

Twitter Files #16 as reported by Taibbi indicates an Angus King campaign staffer reached out to then Twitter Public Policy staffer, Kevin Kane and provided a list of “354 suspicious Twitter accounts they have identified.”

There is also a list of Facebook users and groups the junior Maine senator identified as suspicious accounts.. Each of the three lists requesting censorhip can be read in their entirety below.

7. Here’s Maine Senator Angus King writing to Twitter to call a slew of accounts “suspicious” for reasons like:

“Rand Paul visit excitement”
“Bot (averages 20 tweets a day)”
Being followed by rival Eric Brakey
Or, my personal favorite: “Mentions immigration.” pic.twitter.com/uoJRlfrlOp

“It seems to violate the spirit of the 1st Amendment to have government officials colluding with tech companies to stifle and political dissent,” Maine State Senator Eric Brakey told Davespaper.com this morning. “I think it’s interesting that Angus King is on the Intelligence Committee.”

When asked if he thought this revelation may impact Senator King’s reelection campaign in 2024, Senator Brakey told DP News it would be hard to speculate but

if we lived in a just society that still valued the Bill of Rights, Angus King would be too ashamed to file for reelection.

Wondering if you were one of the King’s targets, check out the lists below…
