Residents of the Northridge neighborhood of Los Angeles woke up to smashed-up vehicles tagged with MS-13 vandalism on Christmas morning.
MS-13 is a ruthless transnational gang whose motto is “aata, roba, viola, controla”(kill, steal, rape, control).
The vandals destroyed six vehicles parked near Corbin Avenue and Prairie Street between 2:30 a.m. and 5 a.m.
The vehicles had smashed windows and “MS-13” painted on them with red spraypaint.
The residents called the Los Angeles Police Department for help but were told to file complaints online.
“It kind of killed Christmas morning,” one of the victims who asked to remain anonymous told Fox 11. “It was dark.”
Since the vandalism happened on Christmas, the victims could not immediately get them fixed.
“We tried to call businesses to see if we can get the car fixed or what it would run, or what it would cost, because nothing was open [on Christmas Day],” the victim told the station.
No arrests have been made.
The Los Angeles Police Department told FOX 11 that “it did receive calls from the concerned residents. However, due to the incidents happening overnight, LAPD told the residents to file their reports online.”
