In an interview on The View, Liam Neeson was put on the spot. On February 15th, the Marlowe actor appeared on an ABC daytime chat show, and he was not very happy with his appearance. I was sipping tea in the locker room and thinking, “Oh, this will be nice!” when I cranked up the TV. I think it’s an American problem that they’re discussing gun violence,” he told Rolling Stone. After the intermission, I joined the women onstage to offer my congratulations on the talk they had just had.

In his own words, Neeson elaborated, “And then our piece comes and it’s just all this Crap with Joy [Behar] and Liam Neeson and having a crush, and I’ve known Whoopi for years and Joy a little bit, but I just wasn’t impressed. What I mean is that I don’t feel at ease in those settings.

Neeson did mention that he and former prosecutor Sunny Hostin “had a brief talk thereafter,” which he described as “intellectual dialogue.”

But then there’s this whole section about this — oof —teenage crush. Just a little bit humiliating,” he continued.

In the outset of the conversation, Behar made a passing reference to how often they discuss Neeson on the show, prompting Navarro to contradict her and add, “You talk about him so much.”

Behar said, “Well, shut up, don’t blow my cover up,” in response to a comment from Alyssa Farah Griffin, who suggested the comic was hoping to be “taken” by the actor.

Behar joked afterwards that she received a late Valentine’s Day card from Neeson, but she would soon learn that he had actually given each of them a card. Hostin joked that Behar’s remark was generic, but added, “he put something extremely special on mine.” Navarro requested that Neeson embellish Behar’s card with an extra heart.

After that, a supercut of all the times Behar joked about Neeson, including having her ashes scattered all over him and getting “arouses” by the Taken flicks, was pushed on the show.

Behar was left dumbfounded and Neeson joked, “You received the checks, right?” after the video, blaming “embarrassing” producer Brian Teta.

As Neeson’s second block came to a close, Behar echoed Neeson’s now-famous phrase from Taken: “I will find you and I will kill you.”

Neeson reprimanded Joy, saying, “Well, stop it. “Stop being so self-absorbed and get a life!”

Whoopi then joked that she was “afraid” to welcome Neeson back on the show because of the turmoil he caused among the co-hosts, which elicited further laughter from the audience.
