President Trump held his first press conference on Tuesday after Congress certified him the winner of the 2024 presidential election on Monday.
During his press conference from his home in Mar-a-Lago, President Trump made headlines when he announced he was changing the name of the Gulf of Mexico.
President Trump: We’re going to be changing the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America, which has a beautiful ring that covers a lot of territory. The Gulf of America. What a beautiful name. And it’s appropriate. It’s appropriate.
President Trump announced he plans on renaming the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America.

So why would he make such a move and why now?
This X user TexasOne may have figured out the reason why. TikTok user Gen.Sherman3 says it is to bypass Joe Biden’s dangerous and feckless ban on drilling for oil in the Gulf of Mexico.

This action is in response to Joe Biden’s executive order this week to stop oil drilling across the US and keep gas prices high for the American people.
Biden is not on the side of the American people. He is on the side of our enemies with every action that he takes. No doubt his corrupt family has made hundreds of millions while Americans suffer making ends meet.
Biden showed again with this act that he is a traitor.
