A recent Brown University survey found that over one-third of students are not heterosexual. The Brown Daily Herald, the university’s student newspaper, reported that the spring 2023 survey showed an increase in LGBTQ+ student self-identification compared to 2010. 38% of respondents were not straight. 22.9 percent were gay or lesbian and 53.7 percent bisexual. This shows the diversity of student sexual orientations.
